Testing Results on 2 1/4 Inch Composite Bats Results in Waivers of Moratorium
The first test result has been received at Little League International regarding composite-barreled bats for use in the Little League (Majors) Division and below. Little League has created a list for those bats that receive waivers of the moratorium that was enacted on Dec. 30, 2010.

You’ve likely heard a lot of talk about BBCOR. But if you still don’t know what it is or what it means for your league, then we’ll try to help.
BBCOR (Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution) is a new standard that measures bat performance and replaces the old standard called BESR (Ball Exit Speed Ratio). Starting in January 2011, all college level NCAA and high school level NFHS non-wood bats must meet the much stricter BBCOR standard. 1. Zack Greinke (Pitcher) Milwaukee Brewers – 2 years/$27 million left on his contract
The Kansas City Royals agreed to trade starting pitcher Zack Greinke to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for five players, reports ESPN. Greinke is due $13.5 million each of the final two seasons, although the Brewers got an undisclosed amount of cash back from the Royals as part of the deal.
Carl Crawford Becomes the 10th Highest Paid Player of All Time!

The Red Sox have signed former Tampa Bay Rays Left Fielder and slugger, Carl Crawford, to a staggering 7 year, $142 million deal. This new contract makes Crawford the 10th highest paid player of all time!
Just to put this into perspective, Crawford’s contract breaks down to $20,285,714 per season, putting him ahead of Manny Ramirez’s $20 million contract and even Derek Jeter’s $17 million.
